Precision Regen

Advanced Adipose Orthobiologic Therapy for Arthritis and Tendon Pain

Precision Regen specializes in minimally invasive biologic treatments designed to help reduce pain, improve function, and potentially delay surgery for conditions affecting the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow.

Using adipose-derived orthobiologic therapy — with or without platelet-rich plasma (PRP) — we utilize your body’s own biologic tissue to help improve the healing environment in painful joints, tendons, and surrounding soft tissues.

Now offering investigational treatment for:

  • Thumb CMC arthritis
  • Finger joint arthritis
  • Wrist arthritis
  • Tennis elbow
  • Golfer’s elbow
  • Chronic tendon irritation
  • Select inflammatory soft tissue conditions (radiation, scarring for example)
  • Non-healing wounds
  • Hair Loss

Precision-guided. Office-based. Minimally invasive.

WHAT MAKES PRECISION REGEN DIFFERENT

Unlike many regenerative clinics that focus primarily on large joints, Precision Regen is specifically designed for the complex anatomy of the hand and upper extremity.

Treatments are performed by David Branch, a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with fellowship training in hand, microsurgery, and advanced tissue grafting techniques.

For decades, adipose grafting has been used in reconstructive surgery to improve tissue quality in areas affected by radiation injury, chronic inflammation, scarring, and poor vascularity. Research has shown that transferred adipose tissue promotes neovascularization — the formation of new blood vessels — leading to improved blood flow, oxygen delivery, and tissue quality.  This has been particularly obvious through the often dramatic improvements seen in radiated breasts and in pain at the base of the thumb from arthritis after fat grafting is done.

These same biologic principles are now being explored in orthopedic and tendon-related conditions.

OUR APPROACH

Adipose Orthobiologic Therapy

Our primary procedure utilizes a small amount of your own adipose tissue (fat), harvested through a minimally invasive process in the office under light sedation and local anesthesia, taking about an hour.  The harvested fat is carefully processed into a biologically active graft with or without PRP fortification.

The graft is then precisely injected into the affected joint, tendon, or surrounding tissue as a stimulant for vessel ingrowth, improved oxygenation, healing and function.

Adipose tissue contains:

  • biologic signaling cells,
  • structural support components,
  • vascular-supporting elements,
  • and growth mediators involved in tissue repair and remodeling.

Following treatment, the body initiates a healing response that is expected to help:

  • improve local blood supply,
  • support tissue oxygenation,
  • reduce inflammatory signaling,
  • and improve the overall tissue environment.

Many patients seek this treatment as a less invasive option before considering surgery.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

In selected patients, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) may be combined with adipose therapy.

PRP is derived from your own blood and contains concentrated growth factors that may help support the healing environment and graft activity.

At Precision Regen, PRP is typically used as an adjunct to adipose orthobiologic therapy rather than as a standalone treatment.

  • Wrist arthritis
  • Tendon & Soft Tissue Conditions
  • Tennis elbow
  • Golfer’s elbow
  • Chronic tendon irritation
  • Inflammatory soft tissue pain
  • Additional Investigational Applications:

  • Chronic wounds
  • Select neuropathic conditions
  • Hair Loss

WHY THE HAND AND UPPER EXTREMITY REQUIRE PRECISION

The hand and upper extremity contain intricate joint surfaces, tendons, ligaments, nerves, and small soft tissue compartments that require specialized anatomical understanding and technical precision.

Precision Regen focuses specifically on these complex structures rather than generalized large-joint treatment alone.

This upper-extremity specialization helps guide both patient selection and precise biologic placement.

WHO MAY BE A CANDIDATE

These treatments may be appropriate for patients who:

  • continue to have symptoms despite conservative care,
  • want to delay or avoid surgery,
  • prefer minimally invasive treatment options,
  • or are seeking alternatives before more invasive procedures.

While many patients experience meaningful improvement in pain and function, results vary from patient to patient.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Orthobiologic treatments such as adipose-derived therapy and PRP are considered investigational for most orthopedic and inflammatory conditions and are not FDA-approved to regenerate cartilage or cure arthritis.

Current evidence supports potential improvements in pain and function in selected patients, though additional research remains ongoing.

Some limited thumb CMC-related procedures may qualify for insurance coverage. Most orthobiologic treatments are elective and self-pay.
